How to Use the 3D Prize Wheel - Complete Spin-the-Wheel Guide

The 3D Prize Wheel is a free, browser-based spinner for raffles, giveaways, classroom activities and everyday decisions. Everything you type stays on your device — nothing is uploaded to any server, and no account or sign-up is needed.

Getting started

Enter your items. Type each option into the input box beside the wheel, one item per line. The wheel updates instantly as you type, so you see your list right away.
Spin the wheel. Click the wheel itself to start it turning (a Spin button is available on touch screens). You can hold and drag the wheel first to adjust the viewing angle — useful when a segment sits behind the wheel’s edge.
Read the result. When the wheel stops, the winning item appears in a pop-up and is added to the Results list below the input box. Click OK to spin again.

Customizing your items

Sort arranges your list alphabetically.
Shuffle mixes the order randomly.
Import loads items from a .txt file (one item per line) or a .csv file (the first column is the item name; other columns are ignored). Importing replaces the current list.

Choosing a spin mode

Open Settings to choose how the wheel behaves:

Lottery (no repeat) — every item wins once before any item can repeat. Ideal for raffles where each participant should receive exactly one prize.
Decision (repeat) — every spin is independent, and the same item can win repeatedly. Good for “which movie tonight” or “what should I eat” style choices.
Weighted — assign a weight to each item so some options are more likely to win than others. The probability panel shows each item’s exact chance of winning, which is handy when you need to tune a fair result.

Sound, vibration and themes

The Settings panel also lets you switch between the Dark, Light and Festival themes, pick a sound pack, and toggle sound and vibration (on mobile devices) on or off. All preferences are remembered on your device for next time.

Results and statistics

Every spin is recorded in the Results tab, newest first. The download button in the Results tab exports the full history as a .txt file. The Statistics tab shows how often each item has won and its winning probability — particularly useful when you are running a weighted raffle and want to see whether the results are balanced.

Share creates a link that carries your current item list, so a friend can open the exact same wheel in their own browser.
Fullscreen hides the side panel and projects the wheel large on the screen - ideal for classrooms, meetings and event stages.

Real-world scenarios

Classroom picker - Paste your class roster (an imported .txt list works great) and switch to Lottery mode so every student is picked exactly once before anyone repeats. Fullscreen plus sound turns roll call into a mini game show.
Live-stream and giveaway draws - Weighted mode is made for prize tiers: give the top prize weight 1 and the consolation prize weight 10, and the probability panel shows the exact odds on camera before you spin, so viewers can verify the draw is honest.
Team decisions - Stuck between five restaurant options or three project names? Decision mode settles it in a single spin, and the share link lets teammates open the exact same wheel, proving the list was not changed after the fact.
Parties and icebreakers - Type in forfeit challenges or truth-or-dare questions, pass the device around, and let the wheel decide who goes next.

Tips for a fair draw

Show your list before spinning. Read the items aloud or share your screen first so everyone sees the same options.
Keep the default equal weights unless you truly need prize tiers. Afterwards, the Statistics tab lets you audit how often each item actually won.
Share the wheel link before the draw so participants can confirm the option list themselves - the link carries the exact items, mode and weights.

Privacy and offline use

The wheel runs entirely in your browser. Items, results and settings are stored in your browser’s local storage and are never sent to any server. The core features work offline, and there is no account to create. The wheel is provided for entertainment purposes — if you use it at a commercial event or raffle, please follow your local laws and regulations.
